Changing your search criteria Back
Considering somewhere new?
This simple House Exchange guide will show you how to change the area you are searching.
Before we start... there are 2 ways in which search criteria can be changed on House Exchange.
The first method is by logging into your account and clicking 'Property Search', before editing the criteria and clicking 'Search Now'. This method will only temporarily change your search criteria, which will reset should you log out or refresh the page.
The second method will permanently save your search criteria until you were to change it again; you can do this as follows:
Step 1
Once logged in to your House Exchange account, click on the ‘Search Preferences’ button.
Step 2
Now simply work your way through the page, adjusting your preferred location, number of bedrooms, desired property types, and search radius as you see fit.
Top tip! Remember to only search for one location at a time! Entering multiple locations in the same search will confuse our system and result in you only being able to view 1 page of matches
Step 3
After you have finished, don't forget to click 'Save my Search Target'! Once your new preferences have been saved, you will be presented with a pop up message that says 'Success: Your new target location has been set'.
