Time to get Descriptive!

Any good property advert isn't complete without a property description. This guide will show you how to master House Exchange's description feature!

Things to consider in your description:

  • What are the best features of your home? For example, are your rooms spacious; has the property been recently decorated, and if so, which rooms?
  • Info about your local area; for example transport links, locality of shops, schools, doctors’ surgeries etc. Is your property situated rurally or in a vibrant City?
  • Do you have a garden or a balcony; does your building have a lift?
  • Who in particular might your property be perfect for?

 

 

Step 1

Login to your House Exchange account and click on the 'Edit my Advert' button from the House Exchange dashboard.

Step 2

Now click on the 'Description' tab.

Step 3

Why not try utilising House Exchange's description generator tool! - This is a great function that takes you through every aspect of your property and provides you with an auto-completed property description.

Top tip! Be sure not to offer any incentives when writing your property description, as these are viewed by most landlords as being an illegal activity and as such could result in any potential exchange being refused.

Step 4

Once you're happy with your description, click 'Save description'. A pop up message will then appear at the top of the screen saying 'Success: Your property description has been updated.'
